The 62nd World Day of Prayer for Vocations
The 62nd World Day of Prayer for Vocations
Dear friends, the world pushes you to make hasty decisions and bombards you with a constant blare that prevents you from experiencing a silence that is open to God who speaks to the heart. Have the courage to pause, to listen to what your heart tells you, and to ask God about his dreams for you. The silence of prayer is indispensable if we are to learn how to hear God’s call amid the specific circumstances of our lives and to respond consciously and freely. Prayerful recollection helps us to realize that all of us can be pilgrims of hope.
Discover faith raised to a lifestyle when you serve as a Missionary of the Precious Blood. Find purpose, community, and spiritual fulfillment as you answer the call to bring people closer to God, each other, and creation through the healing power of the blood of Christ.
We are a religious community in the Catholic Church known as a Society of Apostolic Life with a focus on mission and ministry. Together with religious sisters and our lay associates, called Companions, we share a common mission of service to the Church, living a community life, sustained by a spirituality of the blood of Christ. Jesus Christ has redeemed all people with his blood. It is our mission to heal and restore relationships in the church and the world.

Discernment to enter formation is about listening to God’s call and responding with courage. We look forward to journeying with you and helping you to discern if God is calling you to be a Missionary of the Precious Blood.
Missionaries are encouraged to listen to God’s call in their own life and put to good use the gifts that God has given them. This has led to many unique ministries. At the same time, we are part of a religious community, so we balance our own preferences and desires with the needs of the Precious Blood community and the Church.
Our members are not bound together by vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience, as are members of religious orders. We make a promise of fidelity to live the Bond of Charity, to follow the example of Jesus, who loves us unconditionally.
“I am humbled and in awe of the great diversity of personalities, the spiritual depth, the abounding apostolic energy, and the sense of mission that makes up our C.PP.S. family.” Br. Ben Basile, C.PP.S.
